5 Star Brass
In Concert
Tuesday 21st May, Doors open 7pm - Concert starts 7.30 pm
This talented group of musicians returns to play a part in the festival that digs around in the past to look towards the future.
5 Star Brass undertake musical archaeology - tracing the rich musical history of popular music - starting this festival year with sounds created in the 1600s by Jean Philippe Rameau, they visit the music sold by Mozart’s penniless widow to pay for his burial. Then launch a fast and furious musical adventure-ride exploring what brass instruments (in the best possible hands) can offer, calling in on Gershwin, Ellington and even the pop groups of the 60’s along the way. 5 Star Brass provide easy access to our musical heritage – no matter where you are coming from!
